Last Fourth of July my Mom, sister and I took a trip to Savannah, Georgia. On the night we arrived the riverfront hotel had free wine and cheese. After a couple drinks, we tipsily walked down the river street and made our way through crowds and quaint shops. On our walk we decided to stop into a psychic...just a "ha wouldn't this be funny!" moment. This was an abnormal thing for us, but the read was pretty interesting. The "psychic" told me, among other things, that I would always live near water. Of course we all screamed LAKE HOUSE!! In a
past post I mentioned it was my family's dream to one day own a lake house.
So, what does a garden have to do with all this? Today I remembered the words of the psychic, laughed, and became my own psychic. In my future house I see a beautiful garden with fresh flowers, herbs, and veggies. For now, I daydream with these garden inspirations from

i LOVE that second pic that looks like it leads to a home in a secret garden. oh, one day...
ReplyDeleteand that tiny colored shack in the end is a cutie too. though it would have to be in a warm weather area for me :)
Gorgeous! I dream of a little courtyard-type backyard like this. We've got the "little" part down...;)
ReplyDeleteGreat images.
That last pic is GREAT!!! Sums it up nicely..
ReplyDeleteFunny that I took a break from online shopping for a railing planter just like the ones in the first photo! I wish I could find some :)
no. really? no.
ReplyDeleteI did the same thing in Savannah, Georgia, when we were walking down the river front. We probably went to the same person!! Well, maybe : )
I dream of reuniting with a long lost love, living in a cabin by the beach, with nobody around.
Oh, to dream.
Those are neat planters...hmm...not sure where to get them? If I come across will let you know Krissy.
ReplyDeleteSo weird you saw a psychic there too...just seemed like the thing to do! I love your dream.
wow such pretty photos! I love the purple flowers and the little lake is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou just gave me a serious case of garden envy.
ReplyDeleteHow about tromp le'oil gardens? Where they look huge but are teeny tiny?
ReplyDeleteHow pretty...I wish a garden was in my NEAR future but not until we buy a home, I'm not putting the money into a rental! It's funny, because I've been thinking of gardens & landscaping a lot lately!!
ReplyDeleteDiana - these are fabulous! The second one pictured is so beautiful - that's what I'd like to see in my future patio!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with these!!!! Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!! I see owning my very own place with a yard and a garden in my future as well...here's to hoping at least :)
ReplyDeleteThese are great pictures. I am currently working on my own garden, slowly but surely... it's coming!
ReplyDeleteLovely gardesn, if one of those is in my future I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteI once went to a tarot card reader who was part of the entertanment at a big corporate party in New Orleans. I thought it was fun and silly, and wrote down her predictions and tucked them away. I found them when I moved about 8 years later and realized most of them were dead on. Freaky!
I love all of these pictures!! Its all about the outdoors for me right now!
ReplyDeletei love these gardens......
ReplyDeleteI can't stand it!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI want THAT.
these are GORGEOUS! I also LOVE gardens but live in an apartment. But one day I will have a forest for a garden!!! ; )
ReplyDeleteDiana, these gardens are STUNNING. I adore all of them, especially the one up top with the door and all the ivy. These are the images that actually make me consider leaving the city.
ReplyDeleteCrazy about the predictions from the tarot card reading. She also told me one day I will start a business and have twins...ekkk!
ReplyDeleteI have a rental too, and don't want to put much effort into my tiny porch. But, looks like some of these could be pulled off on city porches.
i think the words of the psychic are very wise ;)! i love them all, but the last photo of that little red + blue house is so magical.
ReplyDeletelove those chairs in the 2nd image.
ReplyDelete- Jessie -
